Spanish Cedar Finishes

Spanish Cedar is a tropical timber species with a color ranging from reddish brown to light pink. It has a grain pattern that is similar to Mahogany, but is a softwood with less density and weight. Traditionally used in humidors for its aromatic qualities, it is prized for its resistance to insect attack and rot. Knots tend to be small and pin like, and larger dark brown or pitch marks and streaks are common. Stain qualities and options are similar to Mahogany.
